Mfa is Expanding!
May 29th 2015
This is an exciting summer for Mfa! We are in the midst of celebrating our 20th year; planning an office move to a bright and airy location near Union Square; gearing up for some friendly in-office competition at our annual active summer outing; and our team is expanding. We’ve added five new staff members in the last few weeks to strengthen our account teams, bring new and interesting perspectives to the agency, and help continue to deliver the exceptional coverage that is Mfa’s standard.
Sally Downs joined Mfa after spending time at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where she worked on strategic communications for Martha Stewart’s licensed products, the MSLO publications, and select PR opportunities for Martha Stewart. At Mfa, Sally is supporting Mfa’s wellness and fashion accounts. Sally is a NYC transplant from Dallas, who loves to surf and play volleyball.
Spencer May came to Mfa from the UN Foundation for the Global Compact, an organization focused on seeking long-term solutions to global challenges in human rights, labor standards, the environment and anti-corruption. An avid cyclist, Spencer is working on cycling brands including Schwinn, Cannondale and GT Bicycles. When not on his bike, Spencer can be found rooting on Mfa’s Zog Sports team.
Stephen Elmore launched his career at Mfa straight from The Citadel where he earned a Master’s in sports marketing and played basketball. At Mfa, Stephen combines his interest in non-profit work with his expertise in marketing and his deep knowledge of the sports industry. He is a member of the MFAction team, specializing in cause marketing with an emphasis on professional sports league partnerships. Stephen plays basketball regularly, and loves exploring NYC’s restaurant scene.
Adele McConnell recently made the switch from the paid to earned media worlds. Prior to joining Mfa, Adele worked at OMD Worldwide in digital media, planning online media for accounts including Time Warner Cable, New York Lottery and the New York Health Benefit Exchange. With a love of travel and an eye for design, Adele is working with Mfa’s hospitality and design team. On summer weekends, Adele can be found planning artist green rooms for annual music festivals.
Paul Marshall loves the snow and surf industries. He taught skiing/snowboarding in Vermont for three seasons, and surfed across Central America. His industry knowledge paired with his wanderlust made him a perfect fit for Mfa, where he works on ski/snow apparel clients like Quiksilver and DC Snow, and the 14 resorts that compose the Ski Utah organization. Paul can often be found riding in the winter and surfing/sailing in the summer.
